Bodhi conducted an assessment of best practices and challenges regarding women's inclusion and participation in peacebuilding at both national and community levels, carried out in support of the broader "Addressing Violence Against Women and Girls as a Catalyst for Peace" project for CARE International. The team investigated structural, systemic, and social barriers to meaningful participation and inclusion, while evaluating current levels of engagement. The study aimed to identify key factors influencing women's involvement in peacebuilding processes and provide insights to enhance their participation and impact. The research assessed the added value of women’s inclusion and participation in peace building to inform CARE International’s programming to improve access to multi-sectoral SGBV services, promote inclusive decision-making process and strengthen leadership opportunities for women.
