Bodhi conducted a midline evaluation of UNICEF's Girls Reproductive Health, Rights, and Empowerment Accelerated in Tanzania (GRREAT) intervention. The programme is a five-year initiative implemented by UNICEF and UNFPA with financial support from Global Affairs Canada. and aims to promote gender equality, empower adolescent girls, and increase their access to sexual and reproductive health services in Tanzania. Data collection involved a mixed-methods approach, and data was collected through an adolescents survey (1315 respondents), a community influences survey (119 respondents), 14 facility site visits, a customer satisfaction survey (151 respondents), 41 key informant interviews, and 30 focus group discussions and collection took place in the Mbeya, Songwe, and Zanzibar regions, along with Dar es Salaam. Our evaluation included a gender analysis of selected interventions to assess their gender transformative value. We also performed a scalability analysis to determine which interventions were sustainable and suitable for long-term scaling. This comprehensive assessment aimed to provide UNICEF with insights into the programme's effectiveness and inform decisions on future implementation and expansion of successful components.
