Bodhi conducted a qualitative evaluation of the Community-Driven Recovery and Security programme in Central Darfur, Sudan, implemented by the Danish Refugee Council. The programme targeted vulnerable and marginalised communities in Wadi Saleh, Bindisi, Um Dukhun, Mukhjar localities of Central Darfur, Sudan. Its specific objectives are to increase the participation stakeholders in identifying and prioritising their needs and the actions required to address them; enable the most vulnerable members of the community to access basic services; improve the household income of the most vulnerable groups within these communities and; increase capacity of local CSOs and communities to engage with duty bearers. The evaluation employed key informant interviews and focus group discussions to assess the programme's progress against OECD-DAC criteria. Additionally, the team revised the programme's Theory of Change, proposing an updated model with component indicators. This comprehensive evaluation aimed to provide insights into the programme's effectiveness and offer recommendations for future improvements.
