Bodhi has been contracted by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to conduct an evaluation of the Dar es Salaam Mission strategy from 2022-2026. The Strategy covers Ireland's engagement with Tanzania and five secondary accreditations: Burundi, Comoros, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Seychelles, and the East African Community. The evaluation will assess specific aspects relating to the Mission’s strategic priorities and activities during the 2022–2026 period, to provide DFAT headquarters and Embassy with an independent evidenced based evaluation of the implementation of the Strategy. The evaluation is timed to correspond with the final year of implementation of the current Mission strategy and will inform the analysis of, discussions around, and subsequent drafting of the successor Mission strategy expected to be approved by end-2026. The evaluation’s findings will highlight learnings across the work of the Mission in recent years, support future Mission programming, and inform wider Departmental and global policy planning and programming.
