Rebecca Kindler

Conflict, Gender and Inclusion Researcher

Becka Kindler is a research and evaluation specialist with over five years of experience working across migration and displacement, gender-based violence, and protection programming in conflict-affected and fragile contexts. Her work is grounded in a strong commitment to social justice, locally led evidence, and systems change. In her previous role with the International Rescue Committee’s Violence Prevention and Response Unit, Becka led initiatives to strengthen the quality, accountability, and strategic relevance of protection programming globally, including mixed-method protection analyses, learning reflection processes, and tools to support GBV caseworkers’ decision-making. As a consultant, she has managed and contributed to portfolio- and fund-level evaluations, strategic assessments and feminist research studies across the Horn of Africa, Central and South America, and MENA.  She brings technical expertise in participatory research methods and gender- and conflict-sensitive frameworks, with a track record of supporting diverse stakeholders, including community members, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors, to translate evidence into actionable insights. Becka holds an MA in Conflict, Security, and Development from the University of Sussex, where she specialised in migration governance, gender, and the politics of insecurity, and is fluent in Spanish.
